Ninja Slice

The Ninja Slice is an enemy in Pizza Tower, first debuting in Oh Shit!.

Description

Ninja Slices are cheese pizza slices with light brown arms and legs. They wear a ninja mask, gloves, and shoes. They have a fierce look and are often seen in a fighting stance when not disguised. Ninja Slices can appear with different mask, glove, and shoe colors, such as red, purple, pink, blue, or orange, corresponding with the color of the Pizzaboy it disguised as. This is purely cosmetic.

Behavior

Ninja Slices disguise themselves as cardboard Pizzaboy cutouts with the nose and tongue corresponding to its color, being provoked when the player gets close. It will initially jump at the player with a high-reaching uppercut attack. From there, Ninja Slices will take to the ground in a fighting stance, stepping forward or backward to keep a set distance between it and the player, and releasing a flurry of kicks from time to time. Ninja Slice can drop off of platforms while it attempts to keep its distance, which may cause it to inadvertently fall into hazards such as water.

The Ninja Slice is a reference to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise.
- This is made even more likely due to the fact that the first level they appear in is Oh Shit!, which is a sewer level.
Originally, after jumping out at the player, Ninja Slice would start to chase after the player while holding out its two pizza cutters. It would also tend to jump again when near the player during chasing.
The way a Ninja Slice disguises as a Pizzaboy before attacking may be a reference to superheroes tending to be secret identities of ordinary people.
Ninja Slice's Heat Meter attack was throwing out a series of punches that shoot out energy projectiles at the player instead of kicking.
Ninja Slice only has the red color palette in earlier builds.
