Description
This allows for easy citation of links within an article.
Syntax
Copy the boilerplate and fill out applicable parameters, placing the template between the <ref></ref> tags:

  • url is the link it can be found.
    • If citing an X (formerly known as Twitter) thread, link the first post.
    • Discord message links go here as well.
  • author is the name of the person who is being cited. Required.
    • If citing from Twitter, format it as @HANDLE.
    • If citing an article, use the name of the person(s) who wrote it. If no author is listed, use the title of the article.
  • location is where the author is being cited. Required.
    • If the author is being cited from X (formerly known as Twitter), set to Twitter.
    • If the author is being cited from a Discord server, format it as (SERVER NAME) community.
  • note is for additional context about the source.
    • If it's an interview, write Interview with (Name).
  • date is when the content being cited was posted. Must be formatted as Day Month Year.
    • Example: 7 Feburary 2024.
  • image is the file name for the image on the wiki. Must only be used for Discord messages.
  • quote is the specific sentence being cited.
    • If citing multiple posts (i.e. two posts in a Twitter thread), conjoin them with ....
    • If cutting off a quote, end it with ....
  • archive is an Internet Archive link to the post.
    • Due to issues with Twitter, an archive link may be unable to be obtained.

Citing two tweets from ClascyJitto, code:

Result: McPig has stated that The Noise would have to be either a Noid or a Hatsune Miku rip-off.[2]
