Pizza Tower Wiki was created on 9 October 2018 on Fandom wiki hosting, back when development of Pizza Tower only started. Almost 5 years later the wiki was forked to another place, Miraheze. This instance was created on 22 July 2023, after successful request made by our former main admin MaxiBash. The beginning of August marks the start of actual migration of the wiki.

And boy, a lot of stuff has happened since!

  • The wiki received a massive overhaul in articles, files and things like templates, and significantly upped its standards, we even got a planning board!
  • The wiki finally got protection from vandals it needed, and even more with features that Miraheze has offered.
  • The wiki was featured in a big video about Fandom's shady practices and migrations of wikis.
  • The wiki saw an influx of nice prominent editors, who update and create new articles daily, and new cool folks joined wiki's admin team as well!
  • The wiki got a very unique, delicious and striking identity thanks to SKL and his art & web skillz!
  • The wiki has met and successfully documented Pizza Tower's first official updates, Pumpkin Hunt and The Noise Update!
  • In fact, the wiki is so cool, it's often brought up by beginner Miraheze wiki admins as an example to look up for, and it even was shown as one of the most prominent Miraheze projects, on a conference of MediaWiki (the thing that powers us and many other wikis) aficionados and developers.
  • And last but not least, the wiki recently got its own URL, pizzatower.wiki!

The fight against Fandom's unfairly robust SEO in Google is still going, but on another hand, Google is just a jerk to non-commercial and small sites and we have no issues in other search engines. And as far as we can tell, the community has recognized us as high quality resource about Pizza Tower, and that's what matters most <3

As a little open letter from me, I want to thank everyone on the behalf of the wiki staff for supporting the Pizza Tower wiki. It wouldn't be as great without it.

When I came on board, I never imagined myself to be in charge. I love Pizza Tower, and I want to make sure the game and its content is properly documented. So, imagine my surprise when I was given the opportunity to be a part of the staff! I was worried I wouldn't be able to live up to expectations, but it seems like I have, for the most part.

I've had dips in activity on the wiki here and there, but I try my best to help maintain the place. Unfortunately, I'm a pretty busy person, a mixture of projects and serious life events taking up a lot of my time. I'm not perfect, but I'm still really happy with how the wiki has come along and grown. I'm incredibly honored that people use this wiki as a reference for stylizing their own, on top of the wiki being used as one of Miraheze's most prominent projects. I was lucky enough that I had enough money to buy a domain for the wiki too, something I've been wanting to do for a while. I'm glad I got to do that.

As always, the wiki is an on-going project that could benefit from just about anybody's help. Don't feel hesitant to contribute, even if it's something as small as fixing typos. I make a lot of those. Thank you for reading and for the support!

but really tho it's awesome how far the wiki went in terms of quality. Really wouldn't think that this is where the wiki would end up in. Everyone on the team did the great job, n it's awesome to have an actual dedicated fan base of people that care about having a good source of information about the game. See y'all in 24 years when we make woon wiki

tbh I didn't expect to become an admin, I just was interested in Pizza Tower and accidentally noticed Maxi's support thread in Miraheze discord. I was pleasantly surprised to see another wiki w/ dedicated admins joining here and I thought I could help w/ some stuff, as more robust MediaWiki environment tends to be confusing after Fandom. not gonna lie, it feels nice to be a part of such cool project and it's been a thrill to watch it glow up. and ofc it will become even more cooler! thank y'all!
