Toppin Warriors

The Toppin Rangers are new characters that follow Peppino or The Noise during a boss battle. They can be obtained at the start of a boss level, totaling up to 5 following Peppino, like the Toppins.

Usage

Attack (unused)

By pressing the grab key / button, the Toppin Ranger at the front of the line will be fired, destroying blocks and killing enemies, as some rooms in boss battles have enemy generators.

Timer

The Toppin Rangers can be used to extend the timer in a boss level by taking the hit for the player if they get hit by Pizzaface, who appears if the player runs out of time in a boss level. However, to possibly combat Pizzaface not being able to reach the player with the Toppin Rangers, the one who extended the timer gets knocked out for good. A total of 5 minutes can be added before all the rangers are gone for good.

Taunt

If the taunt button is pressed, the Toppin Rangers will each strike a pose along with your character, though this does not affect a taunt-attack. (prove)

Trivia

• The Toppin Rangers are a clear nod to the popular franchise, Mighty Morphing Power Rangers, expect more pizza-y.
• The Toppin Rangers were actually a pain to code in according to PTG, due to the way they work.
• It's unknown why the Pineapple Toppin becomes a dog when the Toppins transform into the Toppin Rangers, while the others become humanoids.
• If the player goes into a box of pizzas while having the Toppin Rangers follow them, they'll appear in the next room floating in the air for a brief moment, then teleport to behind the player. This is likely just a bug, but it still hasn't been fixed.
