Mort the Chicken is the titular protagonist from the PlayStation game known as Mort the Chicken. In Pizza Tower, he first appears in Fun Farm and can be used as a transformation, where he perches on top of the player's head and can smack things with his head and let the player descend slower while falling. He is also the only thing that can break Mort cubes, which appear throughout levels featuring the transformation. If a dish of corn is reached while Mort is on top of the player's head, Mort will get off of their head to eat it, which ends the transformation and lets the player pass through to get to the rest of the level.

Trivia

  • Pizza Tower Guy personally asked Mort's creator for permission to use Mort in Pizza Tower and they agreed, which is how Mort is in the game without any copyright issues.
  • The Mort cubes may be a reference to the Boolyon, the alien species featured as antagonists in Mort the Chicken who are simple, geometric cubes.
  • The fact that Mort spawns from a well may be a reference to the wells at the beginning of all of the levels in Mort the Chicken.
  • The way that the Mort transformation ends may be a reference to how in Mort the Chicken, the health bar is represented by corn and how in the game there was corn lying around all the levels that Mort was able to eat to regain health.
