Pizza Coin
Pizza Coin, Weapon Machine and Coin Door are unused objects and mechanics from the earliest builds of Pizza Tower.
Description
Pizza Coins are a coin based currency, it is a pizza shaped golden coin with small pepperoni slices.
Weapon Machines are a purple shaped TV with a big red button on the bottom of it. Labeled with a price and a image of a Pizza Coin.
Coin Door resembles a ATM machine. It's colored green, with golden slot, having a TV on the top of it, showing a icon of a Pizza Coin and x5 on it.
Behavior
Pizza Coin and Weapon Machine
Pizza Coins can be collected by the Player like any other collectibles in the game. However, Pizza Coins could be used to buy from Weapon Machines, which have Shotguns inside.
If the player has enough Pizza Coins, they can touch the button under the Weapon Machine for it to drop a weapon. Shotguns do not re-spawn from Weapon Machines.
Text on the Player's screen also appear depending on certain actions. If they didn't collect enough it would say: "YOU NEED (Amount) MORE PIZZA COINS!" If they collect a Pizza Coin however, it would say: "YOU HAVE (Amount) PIZZA COINS!"
Coin Door
Coin Doors are tied to a certain level in the Demo 2 build. If you collect 5 Pizza Coins in a level it is next to the one you choosen, It will open, unlocking a Challenge level it is tied to.
Appearances and changes
Through out development, Pizza Coins and Weapon Machines were changed slightly, these are the following changes that are in the demos.
- Halloween Demo: Pizza Coins in the mostly can be found in several rooms requiring the player to unlock certain areas, or to jump through obstacles to get them.
- Demo 2: Instead of requiring 4 Pizza Coins for Weapon Machines to open, it was changed so Pizza Coins are used for buying the challenge levels via a Coin Door, costing 5 Pizza Coins.
- SAGE 2019 Demo: Pizza Coins were revered to back how they were in the Halloween Demo. However instead of Pizza Coins being put around levels, they are gained from breaking blocks or defeating enemies. Coin Doors are absent from this build.
