Pizza Tower Wiki:Guidelines, Editing & Help/Character pages

From Pizza Tower Wiki

These are guidelines to follow when constructing or editing a character page.

Infobox and introduction

Insert a Template:Infobox character at the very beginning of the page. See the template's page for help on filling out its paremeters. An introductory sentence must state the name, followed by full name if applicable, and their role within Pizza Tower.

Description

Describe the character's physical appearance. If they are of certain nationality and have a canonical age or age range, state and cite them. Note unique physical traits, and if non-human, note the type of creature they are. Write their personality if applicable. Examples in the game should be used.

If the character has an occupation, make note of it. Depending on the character, it can be ambiguous to what they do, so a few sentences are okay.

Describe the relationships the character has with others here. Because the game often leaves this ambiguous, a sentence or two will suffice.

Abilities and Skills

Describe the character's unique skillset and abilities. For playable characters, avoid explaining how the character can preform certain moves. For enemies, explain their attacks. If multiple skills can be generalized into one category, do so and use the skills as examples. If the character has skillsets and abilities outside of the game, do note them here as well.

If a character has specific transformations, make a table with five columns, starting with headers in this order: Name, Method to Aquire, Effects, Controls, and Debuting Levels. The Name column must be all headers with the image and title of the transformation.

Example:

Name Method to Acquire Effects Controls Debuting Level

Ball

Getting kicked by a Pepperoni Goblin, Goblinbot, Pepperoni Goblin Bat or thrown by a Big Cheese Peppino inflates instantly and proceeds to roll in the direction he was thrown or kicked into until he hits a wall or is damaged. Any enemy or small destructible blocks run into will be defeated or destroyed respectively. Pressing in the corresponding direction the player is rolling in will increase their speed. The player can still jump. Pizzascape

Knight

Grabbing a sword from a Sword Stone Any enemy will be defeated upon contact, rendering the player invincible. In a Charging state, Stupid Rats and Metal Blocks can be defeated and destroyed respectively. Moving becomes much heavier and slower, and the player loses the ability to grab in exchange for a double jump. Body Slam is replaced with a Downward Thrust. Touching any slope sends the player down the slope into a Charging state until they hit a wall.

The code, though possible with traditional wikitables:

<table class="wikitable">
<tr>
<th>Name</th>
<th>Method to Acquire</th>
<th>Effects</th>
<th>Controls</th>
<th>Debuting Level</th>
</tr>
<tr>

Sub-pages

Gallery, audio and pre-release sub-pages will be located here. See the gallery guidelines for help on constructing galleries.

To display the sub-pages, use Template:Subpage. Read its documentation for more information on how to use it. When inserting multiple sub-page templates, wrap it in a div element with style set to display:flex; flex-flow:row wrap; gap:0 5px;.

Audio

(WIP)

For character audio pages, arrange them in a table in three columns. Each columns header will be titled in this order: File Name, Audio, and Notes. Notes should describe when the audio plays. Do not insert unused audio into this page.

Pre-release

(WIP)

Cameos

Occasionally, a character from Pizza Tower may appear in other officially licensed media. When this happens, add a sub-header titled after the media and describe the character's appearance, roles, and modified design (outside of art style) if applicable. If the character appears in a playable state, write about differences in gameplay compared to normal play. If the character appears via mods, then only document it if it was created or developed by one or more members of Tour de Pizza.

Trivia

If information cannot organically be inserted into the page, only then can it be inserted into the trivia section. Avoid speculation and statements that cannot explicitly be proven.
