Peppino being calm. This HUD face was part of an old health system where Peppino's mood would change depending on how many health the player has. The player started with just three hit points, and the player could only get more by eating the unused "Spaghetti Plate" pickup. It appears when you obtain the maximum of four hitpoints. Some time later it was replaced by the "Angry Peppino" mood, then, even more time later the feature was totally scrapped.
Peppino's Watch, was used to display Pizza Time in the old pause menu.
