  • The level's name is a play-on-words of deep-dish pizza and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
    • It may have also been a reference to Star Trekkin' by The Firm. A part of Star Trekkin' includes a pizza spaceship.
  • This level was at first titled Space in April 2021 Build before getting its final name.
    • The final name was originally planned to be "Olive Intergalactic". However, during one of McPig's development streams, a Twitch user suggested a different name, which ended up sticking.
  • This level was supposed to be the first level where you can only play as one character, that being the Noise; however that was scrapped.
  • The green alien decoration was originally part of an old mechanic, where the player would deliver a pizza to the alien's door.
  • The grey alien decoration was originally part of an unused mechanic, where they would follow the player after picking them up.
  • The third secret is possibly inspired by the "Thinking with Teleporters" section in the unused Space Pinball level.[1]
  • In the Chef Tasks, this level was alternatively stylized as Deep-Dish Nine.
