Ranks
Ranks are final badges for completing a stage in Pizza Tower.
Their final outcome depends on the amount of points collected in the level, with the amount needed for higher ranks varying throughout each level, as well as enemies killed. In boss levels, the rank depends on the total damage taken.
Up to 32% Tower Status can be gained from getting better ranks on various levels. Getting P-ranks on all levels and completing every chef task grants an additional 1%.
Ranks
D-Rank
D-Ranks are usually given out when the player completes the stage with hardly any points, or when defeating a boss stage having taken 9 or more hits.
Peppino sarcastically congratulates the player with a fake smile and says "Good job! That was awful!". A big, black letter D appears. The word âAWFULâ is seen below. The end of the rank music is played by a distorted and out of key trumpet, before ending on a cowbell instead of a drum.
C-Rank
C-Ranks are usually given out when the player completes a stage with a mediocre amount of points, or when defeating a boss stage having taken 7 or 8 hits.
In the rank animation, Peppino glances off slightly to the screen's right, looking exhausted, and says "That was bad." A big, green letter C appears. The word "BAD" is seen below. The end of the rank music is a single note played by an organ.
B-Rank
B-Ranks are usually given out when the player completes the stage with a decent amount of points, usually double the required amount for C, but not enough for an A-Rank, or when defeating a boss stage having taken 5 or 6 hits.
Peppino says "Oh! OK!" with a surprised face. A big, blue letter B appears. The word "OK" is seen below. The end of the rank music is the same as the C Rank.
A-Rank
A-Ranks are usually given out when the player completes the stage with a high amount of points, usually double the required amount for B, or when defeating a boss stage taken either 3 or 4 hits.
Peppino looks into the screen happily, shows a thumbs up and says "Very nice!". A big, red letter A appears. The word "NICE!" is seen below,. The end of the rank music is similar to C/B Rank, now with an electric guitar accompanying it.
S-Rank
S-Ranks are given out when the player gets nearly every source of points in the level, usually double the required amount for A, or when defeating a boss stage having taken either 1 or 2 hits.
Peppino raises his arms and presumably yells out of joy. A big, golden letter S appears. The word "PERFECT" is seen below. The end of the rank music is similar to the C, B or A Rank, but now with a trumpet accompanying it.
P-Rank
P-ranks are given out when the player starts their combo in the first room of the level, and then makes sure they do not break their combo until they complete the entire level. The player must find all the secrets, collect the Tower Secret Treasure for the respective stage, and complete Lap 2, while also reaching the score requirement of an S rank. With The Crumbling Tower of Pizza, where due to lacking secrets, Tower Secret Treasures, and Lap 2, the player just needs to reach the score requirement of an S rank and make sure they do not break their combo. With boss fights, the player must complete the entire fight without taking a single hit. The player does not need to collect all Toppins to earn P-rank, though it is recommended to get the score requirement of an S rank (each Toppin gives 1000 points).
Peppino, rather than coming in from the left, slides in through the right with an evil look, flinches at the player with victorious rage, slides from the left back to the center and strikes a pose as a deep purple background of the top of some form of fortress (possibly the actual pizza tower), shocked-looking enemies, and a huge, white letter P cracks into view. The rank music is drastically different, being played by an electric guitar throughout.

Trivia
- The Noise has his own rank screens, which are currently unused:
- A D-rank has The Noise go into his murderously infuriated mode, saying literal gibberish at the player and flaunting a demonic appearance. The rank text's paper is almost completely ripped. (DIE)
- A C-rank has The Noise simply stare into the screen in furious disappointment. (CRAP)
- A B-rank has The Noise ignorantly raise his palm and say "Eh...". (BAD (Do Better!))
- An A-rank has The Noise sip a can of soda through a straw, lower his sunglasses to look into the screen, and say "Not an S" confidently. (NOT AN S)
- An S-rank has The Noise gasp excitedly over the player's achievement. (PERFECT)
- Currently, The Noise does not have a screen for getting a P-rank, because the pre-release versions where he was playable did not have P-ranks.
- In the SAGE 2019 Demo, Snick does not get any ranks, possibly because of losing all points upon getting hurt. Instead, he's just brought straight back to the hub after beating the level.
- While The Vigilante was playable, he used The Noise's rank screens as a placeholder.
- In the October 2022 build, the P-rank was obtained by getting a score higher than the score required for an S-rank.
- A concept similar to the P-Rank that came before it was the W-Rank. According to PTG, it would've been the same as or similar to S-Rank but with a combo maintained for the entire level, just like one of the P-Rank requirements.
- In the Eggplant build, because the rank score requirements weren't set for all the levels yet, a special "Eggplant" rank was always given when completing a level (regardless of score), which is identical to the D-rank screen, but Peppino is instead seen presenting an eggplant with the text "RANKS YET TO BE SET!".
- The pose that Peppino strikes on receiving a P-rank is known as a "gesto dell'ombrello" - a rude Italian gesture which is equivalent to flipping the bird.
- The face that Peppino makes in the C-Rank screen seems to be based off of the face he made for the "Retry Level" option on the old pause menu.
- The final boss is the only level in the game that does not give a rank, while The Crumbling Tower of Pizza only shows the rank if entered by the portal and not through defeating Pizzaface.
- Tutorial will also give no ranks.
- Ranks existed as early as Earlytestbuild.
- In Earlytestbuild, when completing the level and getting a rank, the game does not automatically do anything, meaning the player will have to manually quit or restart.
- The P-rank, however, has been added in the October 2022 build, which was released 4 years later.
