Gustavo is the deuteragonist and second playable character of Pizza Tower.

Description
Description
Gustavo is a short, small man with small, black beady eyes. He has a large, round nose with a wide mustache underneath. Both his mustache and hair are brown and short, matching in color with his t-shirt and shoes. He wears a white apron and toque on top of his t-shirt. He's a kind, jolly and upbeat person, only showing anger while fighting Brick and during phase 3 of the Pizzaface fight. He was easily able to make amends with Brick and team up after their fight ended, exhibiting his easygoing nature. Throughout the game, Gustavo acts as a supporting role, often guiding Peppino to the exit or helping him in some way. When he is not playable, he can be seen in some levels like Refrigerator-Refrigerador-Freezerator, happily waving.
Gustavo is a small person with beady eyes, a big nose, brown hair, and a brown moustache. He wears a brown shirt and a white apron. He also wears a chef's hat, brown pants and shoes. He is generally shown to be a nice person who likes to help others, but he has also been shown to get angry at times. In McPig's words, "Gustavo is super friendly, but don't disappoint him, he'll get back at you." This is shown when you fail to deliver pizza in an earlier build, as he would show his dark side and pummel Peppino as an act of punishment.

In older builds of Pizza Tower, when Peppino fails to deliver any pizzas in Gnome Forest, he dramatically falls to the ground in despair before rushing and pummeling Peppino briefly. He immediately replaces the pizzas afterward, resuming his happy demeanor.
He first appears outside in the game’s opening, looking at a map until he is run into by Peppino. He can be seen throughout the game, guiding Peppino towards the exit in most levels and appearing on every floor in the Hub developing a relationship with a Stupid Rat, later named "Brick". Gustavo makes his playable debut in Gnome Forest where he drops off Gnome Pizzas to many gnomes throughout the level before the former freezes up. He later reappears as a playable role in The Pig City, after Peppino is arrested. He has what seems to be a cabin located in Refrigerator-Refrigerador-Freezerator. In WAR, he shoots random enemies with Brick when appearing. In the Pizzahead fight, he appears after the first boss refight, where he's used to be thrown at the bosses to stun them.

Brick shares his appearance with the rest of the Stupid Rats; he has pink skin, short blue-gray fur and a rotund body. In comparison, he seems slightly smaller than other Stupid Rats. Upon first meeting Gustavo, he chases him throughout the Tower Lobby before angrily fighting him in Western District. Much like Gustavo, upon the fight ceasing he was able to make amends.
Main Abilities
Much of his move set revolves around Gustavo and Brick separating from and rejoining one another to progress, as many of the duo's attacks remove Gustavo from Brick's backside.

Together, Gustavo and Brick work well as a team. They are shown in various backgrounds of levels throughout the Pizza Tower spending time or working together. In Fastfood Saloon, Gustavo is drinking with Brick at a table. Some appearances lead to them helping Peppino proceed, such as WAR, where Gustavo shoots an RPG with Brick acting as the missile, defeating enemies and or destroying blocks for the player.
Brick will return to Gustavo at any opportunity he is able to, homing in and defying gravity and physics to return to the chef the moment he can.

Abilities and Skills
*<u>Underlined Moves</u>: Separate Brick from Gustavo when used.
Gustavo, much like Peppino, possesses great strength. While running at Mach 3, he can destroy Metal Blocks with his fist. He also can preform a brief spin with his fists out, defeating any enemy he comes into contact with. Much like characters from w:Super Mario, Gustavo can land on top of an enemy to defeat them. He cannot Uppercut, Super Jump, grab enemies or reach Mach 4 like Peppino or The Noise.

Brick has many unique abilities compared to other Stupid Rats. He is able to match Gustavo in strength, as seen in their conflict starting in Western District and ending in Vacation Resort. When he is with Gustavo in levels, he can curl up into a ball and bounce to defeat enemies and destroy Metal Blocks upon landing. He can able to utilize it to bounce off of walls as a way to climb vertically. Upon being kicked by Gustavo, he acts like a bowling ball and defeats any enemy upon contact. Brick will eat Rat Balloons upon contact and inflate, allowing him to float. He deflates by burping, ceasing his flotation.
Dash
The duo can dash at high speeds, defeating enemies they run into and breaking blocks, including Metal Blocks. However, contrary to Peppino’s Mach Run, Gustavo and Brick are unable to keep their speed while turning.

Upon separating from Gustavo, Brick will automatically home in towards Gustavo to immediately rejoin. This is only halted when he is captured by a Hamkuff, where he is held in place until the Hamkuff is defeated.
Double Jump
By pressing the jump button in midair, the duo ball up midair to perform a second hop. Doing so can also destroy Metal Blocks, among other things beneath the duo.

Wall Jump
By touching a wall after double jumping, the duo are able to bounce off of walls and reach higher areas.

<u>Brick Kick</u>
By pressing the up + grab button, Gustavo kicks Brick forward, rolling the rat into a ball and sending him barrelling into enemies and picking up any topping in the way.

<u>Spin Attack</u>
By pressing the grab button, Gustavo will perform a short range spin that hurts foes and defeat Stupid Rats, though this can't be done normally due to no Stupid Rats appearing in any stage with Gustavo in it.

<u>Stomp</u>
Pressing down in midair, Gustavo extends his feet out to stomp on enemies and quickly descend. While it is a ground pound of sorts, Gustavo is unable to break metal blocks.

<u>Crawling and Climbing</u>
Crouching and climbing ladders dismounts Brick.

<u>Rail Climbing</u>
Gustavo can climb across Grind Rails. Pressing down and jump drops Gustavo off of the railing.

Eating Balloons
Touching a Rat Balloon will cause Brick to swallow the balloon, puff up and slowly float downwards. Pressing the jump button will make Brick spit the balloon out, launching the duo upwards before they fall down and can move as normal again.

Taunt
Gustavo and Brick briefly pose. This acts the same as with Peppino, parrying projectiles and enemy attacks and are able to super taunt after killing 10 or more enemies. Some taunts are references. Both characters must be together to taunt.

Jump
Jumping onto enemies will defeat them.

"

Gustavo is Completely Lost... Nobody has seen him since he crawled into the Pizza Dungeon."
Toppinbot.

Gustavo is the deuteragonist and second playable character of Pizza Tower.

In older builds of Pizza Tower, when Peppino fails to deliver any pizzas in Gnome Forest, he dramatically falls to the ground in despair before rushing and pummeling Peppino briefly. He immediately replaces the pizzas afterward, resuming his happy demeanor.

Abilities and Skills

Upon separating from Gustavo, Brick will automatically home in towards Gustavo to immediately rejoin. This is only halted when he is captured by a Hamkuff, where he is held in place until the Hamkuff is defeated.

In the comics

Gustavo was planned to appear in an unfinished comic featuring him and Peppino in the desert, where the two would've been antagonized by Mr.Incognito.
