[[Pizza Tower Guy]] is located in the same room with John Pillar. If the player manages to reach this room in less than a minute, Pizza Tower Guy will be present just at the corner of the screen, before disappearing as you approach him. During the [[Pumpkin Hunt]] event, Pizza Tower Guy will use an alternate design of him holding a knife with the text "KILL" on top.

Unfinished? Not on my watch!
This article is a work in progress. You can help the wiki by finishing it. Notes: This page has been edited heavily to closer reflect what the administrators want level pages to look. There's still some things to fix:

  • We're experimenting with subpages, but the icons need to be smaller, and the box' width shouldn't extend to the other side of the page.
  • The use of tabber here might be a bit excessive. Should we do something about this?
  • The sprite of the Tower's Secret Treasure is placed in a weird spot. Where do we put this?
  • The Chef Task template would need a complete overhaul, as it just doesn't have what we want to include (and it looks horribly formatted).
  • The "Other" location needs a div/clear thing, which we wanted to get rid of. However, there doesn't seem to be a replacement.
  • Some of the Trivia stuff would have to be moved to other sections of the pages. Really, only one bullet point is relevant for the trivia section.

John Gutter is the first level in Pizza Tower, and is the first level of the Tower Lobby. This level serves as a testing ground for the player to get an understanding of the game's base mechanics. This level takes place at the entrance of the tower, featuring a jungle, an underground city, and many Pillar John-like creatures and statues scattered around the level.

Locations

Collectibles

The first Toppin is located out in the open in the second room, directly where the player would naturally progress to.
The second Toppin is out in the open in the fifth room. It's accessible by climbing up the ladder or superjumping to the top.
The third Toppin is in the way in the sixth room, directly where the player must go to progress.
The fourth Toppin is on a platform in the eighth room. The platform can be accessed through various means. Right next to the Toppin is a breakable wall that opens up a path to the other end of the wall.
The fifth Toppin is located on a platform in the ninth room before Pillar John. It's on the top of the level guarded by a Forknight, though it's still out in the open.

Gerome's door is located in the seventh room. The easiest way to access this door is during Pizza Time, where the player has to run into a Metal Block and superjump to the top. The Tower's Secret Treasure present in the level is a stick of butter.

Secrets

The first secret is located in the sixth room. Part of the ceiling has cracks and an eyeball scribbled on it. The player can reveal the secret eye by performing an uppercut or superjump.

This secret room consists of small solid platforms with small and large toppings sprinkled on them, connected by strings of semisolid platforms. The player must turn very quickly on these platforms to retain a constant dash, though it is not necessary to complete the secret.

The second secret is present in the 9th room, right before the room with Pillar John. The rightmost area has a spot with a white eye scribbled on the floor. Ground pounding this spot breaks the floor to reveal the secret eye.

This secret stage is a short vertical climb where the player must wallclimb to scale the walls, which in turn grabs the large toppings present on top. The player will have to hop to change direction once, as to not run off the edge of the area.

The third secret is only accessible during Pizza Time. In one of the vertical rooms, an eye can be seen scribbled on one of the walls on the right. The player must run at mach 3 to break the breakable wall and reveal the secret eye.

This secret requires the player to run and wallclimb through a short parkour with Metal Blocks blocking the way.

Other

Pizza Tower Guy is located in the same room with John Pillar. If the player manages to reach this room in less than a minute, Pizza Tower Guy will be present just at the corner of the screen, before disappearing as you approach him.

Chef Tasks

Every enemy in the level must be killed,
including during Lap 2.

Trivia

This section is dedicated to trivia and miscellaneous information about John Gutter.
Remember to read the wiki's trivia guidelines before adding trivia or making changes.
  • As the selection of playable levels expanded over the course of game's development, John Gutter became the third to be the introductory level of a demo release. The first was Oregano Desert and the second was Pizzascape. not entirely true, pizzascape was never intended to be the first level as the level didn't exist yet in blueblockland v1
  • The long Pillar John seen in the first few rooms changes appearance during Pizza Time. It gains a more angry look and opens its eyes, revealing yellow-ring shaped pupils, like those of the regular Pillar John. not really necessary I think
  • Since the assets of the level were designed before Pillar John's current design, the Pillar John-like creatures are noticeably rounder and have brow ridges instead of eyebrows.
  • After beating The Noise, the level was originally supposed to permanently transform into Noise Gutter, all of the Forknights replaced by by Noiseys. The level music would also be replaced with "The Noise's Jam Packed Radical Anthem". move to prerelease, this was also one of McPig's one-offs
  • This level was at first titled Entrance in the December Patreon Build before getting its final name. maaaaaaybe move this elsewhere, many levels have internal names, maybe make it part of the level infobox?
