Demo 2 is the third public demo of Pizza Tower, released 1 month after Demo 1. This demo includes a remake of the "Ancient" level, and a new level, "Factory", along with timed "Challenge" variants of both levels.

Level Differences

Ancient

  • The level itself has been reworked from the ground up.
  • The Pepperman boss fight has been removed. In place of it is the Noise Satellite, which is also in Factory.
  • The first floor of the level uses Hot Spaghetti instead of one of the scrapped Cold Spaghetti revisions.
  • All of the Toppins are in different places except for the Mushroom Toppin.
  • The background is the same as John Gutter instead of a bunch of purple bricks.
  • Hot Spaghetti and Cold Spaghetti were later reused in Pizzascape.

Factory

  • This level would eventually be reworked into the Peppibot Factory level.
  • The old versions of Peppino's Boxed and Sticky Cheese transformations are featured here.
  • The Peppino Robot enemy is present in the level, however it lacks its current moveset, instead only walking around and spitting out knives.
    • The unused Cheese variant of the Peppino Robot is also present, spitting out cheese globs instead of knives.
  • If you slap the Grabbie Hand, it will give Peppino a high-five, then a thumbs-up.
  • The themes used are Pizza Engineer and Peppino's Sauce Machine, both of which were later used in Peppibot Factory.

Challenges

  • These Levels feature textures from "Ancient" and "Factory".
  • In these levels, Pizza Time starts immediately, and it tests your skill using the Transformations found in the levels.

Pizza Time

  • While Pillar John is present, he does not activate Pizza Time. Instead, he acts as a barrier which prevents the player from accessing the room that contains the Noise Satellite. To get past Pillar John, the player must feed him all 5 Toppins. Once past Pillar John, the player needs to defeat the Noise Satellite, which then causes The Noise to appear, who then presses a big red button, then Pizza Time activates.

Differences in Peppino's moveset

  • Peppino will slap enemies to attack instead of grabbing them.
    • The player can also walk while slapping.
  • The old Mach 1, where the player cannot break Breakable Blocks or climb walls, is present. However, they can still stun enemies, but only for a very short while.
    • It also has a different animation when the player runs sometimes.
  • When hurt, the player bounces around for longer than in the final game.
  • The player flies upwards with the super jump faster.
  • It is still possible to break Metal Blocks with the super jump.
  • Running into Cheeseslimes at (the old) Mach 2 kills them, while other enemies only get stunned.
  • When wall climbing, Peppino quickly loses speed and starts falling.
    • Peppino also can't jump off of walls.
  • The Body Slam move is absent. Because of this, falling onto a metal block from a high enough height will break it.

Trivia

  • The Ancient level contains assets that would go on to be used in John Gutter, Pizzascape and Ancient Cheese.
  • While the Factory level uses Peppino's Sticky Cheese transformation, in the final game, the Sticky Cheese transformation can only be obtained in Oh Shit!
  • The demo contains older variants of songs in the OST.
  • In this demo, there is an Easter Egg where the player can change Peppino's palette on the title screen by pressing left and right on the keyboard.
    • These palettes were the following: Yellow, White, A red color akin to that of the Virtual Boy, Green, Blue, Red, Gold (including skin tone), Black, brown (skin tone only) and Blue with a white skin tone.
  • The Noise can now be defeated by quickly slapping him after he activates Pizza Time.
