Fake Peppino

Description

Fake Peppino is some sort of evil clone or doppelgänger of Peppino that tries to kill him. He's much taller than Peppino with his elongated skinny legs and one of his eyes seems to constantly fall out of its socket on his permanent shiny-cheeked smile. His other features are more faithful to their source material. He wears the exact same clothes as Peppino, a white apron over a black T-shirt with black pants and a white chef's hat, as well as sports his long nose, small black moustache, and balding black hair.

It's unknown what exactly Fake Peppino is, though a hint may lie in his tongue, which is an odd yellow colour. This has lead to the theory of Fake Peppino possibly being a cheese monster-controlled suit, most likely some sort of Cheeseslime as seen with the Cardboard Tank, though this has not been confirmed in any way. Officially, Fake Peppino's origins are a mystery.

Behaviour

Fake Peppino only appears during Pizza Time.

His moveset is inspired directly from the real Peppino. He will chase and try to grab Peppino or Noise to strike them with his toxic tongue. He always chases after the player and will follow them into any rooms they go into, so there's no way to hide from him.

Fake Peppino also appears in Peppino's Xmas Break as a decoration for Strongcold. In it, he wears what appears to be a Santa hat while ringing a bell in his hand, with a bucket near him, appearing to be homeless and asking for change, likely a nod to how the levels he appears in are not found the in the current demo.

Usages

In the GOLF demo

As a secret keybind, the player can press F9 to summon a Fake Peppino at their location. They will try to attack the player and hinder their escape.

Restored

Fake Peppino appears during the escape, just like in GOLF. The player can be attacked by him 5 times until they die. On the fifth hit, any Toppins will switch to their panicked animation.

Early 2020 Patreon Demos

If loaded into the game using hacks, Fake Peppino acts the same as he did since GOLF, expect getting grabbed and tongued by him even once causes the player to die instead of only getting hurt. 

Trivia

• If loaded into the Western Build Patreon Demos, Fake Peppino could close and crash the game if he manages to grab Peppino.
