Description

Peppino Robot is a robot clone of Peppino wearing a chef hat and apron.

Behaviour

Peppino Robot rolls around on one wheel. Once it spots the player, it will attack by either revving up and dashing towards them, trying to slap them, or shoulder bashing into them. The difference between the dash attack and the shoulder bash is that the shoulder bash has a limited distance, while the dash attack will not end until the Peppino Robot slams into a wall, briefly stunning itself.

In addition to their plethora of moves, Peppino Robots are very strong against weak attacks, requiring four weak attacks to be defeated.

Trivia

• There was originally a variant of the Peppino Robot called the Cheese Peppino Robot, which looked the same but with yellow teeth, and a yellow chef hat and apron.
  • Peppino Robot used to spit damaging knives, and Cheese Peppino Robot would spit cheese, putting Peppino in his Sticky Cheese transformation. Peppino Robot's knife spit attack went unused in favor of a new Peppino-based moveset, and Cheese Peppino Robot was scrapped entirely because of its redundancy as a variant.

• All of Robot Peppino's attacks reference attacks that are either usable by Peppino or were usable by Peppino earlier in development.
  • Robot Peppino's slap references Peppino's original slap attack used in early demos. This is made more clear as the slap was in Demo 2, the same build the Robot Peppino's were first publicly released.
  • Robot Peppino's shoulder bash references Peppino's own currently unused shoulder bash.
  • Robot Peppino's dash references Peppino's dash, specifically Peppino's dash animation in Mach 3.
