Pizzascape is the second level in Pizza Tower, and the second level of the Tower Lobby.

It's a medieval castle with many knight suits and torches. Within it, a library and storage room are found. The level's titlecard shows Peppino posing heroically in his Knight form, while a tower and a thundercloud can be seen in the distance.

Enemies

Transformations

Pizzascape is the first level of the game where Peppino undergoes transformations.

Collectables

The first Toppin is located in plain sight in the entrance room. One-block tall Breakable Blocks bar the way. The player must dive through these blocks from the lower section of the room to grab the Toppin and exit from the semisolid platform above it.

The second Toppin is in plain sight in the room accessed immediately from the first door. It is on a platform adjacent to the first Knight transformation.

The third Toppin is located in the room where the player uses the Knight transformation the second time. By hopping over the Priest, the player can destroy a Stupid Rat to find the Toppin.

The fourth Toppin is located to the right of the door leading into the first library room, opposite to the Knight transformation. The Toppin is guarded by three Forknights, but is otherwise out in the open.

After the player has grabbed the key and begun progressing to the left of the ramp area in the library, the fifth Toppin can be seen under the floor, and can easily be grabbed by diving through the narrow string of breakable blocks.

Gerome is located in the gold room accessed through the door that must be unlocked with a key from earlier in the stage. He is sitting in the upper right side of the room, under two semisolid platforms. The door to the is located in the room where the player hops over multiple pits and kills a Forknight and Pepperoni Goblin. Some toppings above the door on the right side of the hall indicate to the player to run up the wall to find the door above.

Secrets

In the room with the second Knight transformation, the player must hop over the Priest to break a Stupid Rat and get the Tomato Toppin and a large topping, then use the slope to begin sliding left. The wall to the far left behind the transformation spot is a Rat pillar with a secret behind it. The player retains the Knight transformation inside this secret, and must use it to slide and double jump across a series of platforms with toppings on them.

In the room accessed from the door directly after the segment with the first secret, the player gets another Knight transformation, and slides down a large ramp with Forknights along the way. There is a semisolid platform before the player exits from the right, which must be jumped on while sliding as Knight Peppino to smash the wall. This secret retains the Knight transformation as well and requires the player to slide and double jump over large hurdles.

During Pizza Time, in the room entered from a door after passing the Knight section where the Tomato Toppin and first secret were, there is a semisolid platform visible as soon as the player enters the room. The player needs to super jump in the exact place where the platform is located to reach the secret. In this secret, respawning Pepperoni Goblins must kick Peppino forward to initiate the Ball transformation, bowling through two rat pins and hopping over small gaps to collect the items.

Chef Tasks

This level has the following Chef Tasks:

Shining Armor
Get to all the priests without bumping into a wall once in Pizzascape.
Spoonknight

Trivia

  • Despite having its final name in SAGE 2019 Demo, it was temporarily called Medieval in PT_Eggplantv15 build.
  • Pizzascape's name may be a reference to the MMORPG Runescape.
  • In an older version of the SAGE 2019 Demo, Pizzascape had an escape time limit of 1:15. This was increased in a later update.
  • Pizzascape once had its own unique escape theme, known in the files as "Small Fruit, 5 PM". It was first seen in the files of the Early Test Build, and was heard in the unused Ancient Challenge in Demo 2. The idea of unique escape themes, however, was later removed from the game.
  • In the title card Peppino's knight suit is different to the Knight Transformation Suit he get in actual level, which includes the left arm only having knight armor on the top, and not the bottom.
  • The maximum combo that the player can reach in Pizzascape is 117.
