Trash Pan is a character in Pizza Tower.

Description

Trash Pan is a sentient trash can that’s filled up with cheese inside, with two drips of it being visible from the outside. It has eyes with very pissed-off-and angry-looking eyebrows on its lid.

Behaviour

Trash Pan stands in place. When jumped on, it will pop off its lid, launching the player upwards, allowing the player to then use the lid to slide down slopes or traverse across water. The Noise does not use the lid, but he can do a mid-air spin while being launched.

Pre-Release

As seen in some prerelease footage, Trash Pans didn't attack in any way, and the only way to defeat them was to push them off a ledge or into water, which instantly defeated them and give them 100 Pizza Points.

Originally, they would stand in place and spit cheeseballs; however, that function was moved to Giant Slime.

Trivia

• The cheese coming out of the Trash Pan enemy used to be sauce, but was changed to cheese due to its behavior changing in the March Patreon Build.
• In some of the demos, purple, eyeless variants (referred to as "invtrash" in the game files) exist, which is a robotic version of the Trash Pan. These are used for areas where the Cheeseball transformation is necessary to proceed and it still functions in the final release.
  • The purple Trash Pan actually has stunned and defeat sprites in some early versions of the Patreon 2019 demos, which were the same as the regular Trash Pans, just with the trash can itself being recolored purple.
• The old Trash Pans are still in the final game; however, they are broken. They are invisible unless stunned, don't spit Cheeseballs, and just repeat the same sound on a loop.
• Trash Pan was originally going to get scared if Peppino ran towards them as seen in a pre-release stream clip. Despite the sprite being made, it doesn't exist in the files.
• While playing as The Noise, there's a rare chance that one of the trash objects launched from Trash Pan can spawn as a box copy of Pizza Tower.
